Kind Heart

Ok,

So yesterday I had some business to take care. I went to purchase my eye drop, then off to the bank to do some business. After completing one transaction I went to another section of the bank to conduct another transaction. When I gave the bank employee my ID card she repeated my name approximately 3 times. Then she finally said, "I know this name and face". She looked at me and asked me where I worked and we began our little conversation. Well, she does know the name and could finally recognize and place the face.

At the end of it all, this kind heart lady shared some kind words of encouragement and information that she thought was valuable in my situation. Of-course, I acted upon the information. I would be a fool if I did not, don't you think? Well, it so happened that, that little bit of information was not for me. But anyways, I did not let that get me down. I smiled and continued on my lucky way.

The thing is, given the stress of the time, this lady found the time to offer kind words in addition to sharing some information she thought was of value to me. Not many persons would have done this. Going to service oriented organizations the greetings and pleasantries are so perfunctory, that in most cases you too behave likewise. How many times have you entered a building and joyfully say "good morning" or whatever based on the time of day? How many persons actually answer? My point exactly! The level of politeness has diminished so badly that simple courtesies seem outplace.  So having this lady actually breaking the monotony of this perfunctoriness was a breath of some well-deserved fresssssshhh air.  You see, amidst the madness of life’s unraveling predicaments, there are still decent and caring individuals who are willing to put their own situation aside just to offer a good word. That makes all the difference!

Let us make ourselves a promise. Let us from this moment on positively "touch" the life of another; whether a family member, friend, or even a strange. You may think that you are going through a bad experience, but, remember, there is always someone in a worst position.  They may be well-dressed and at times even well-spoken or they may be the smelliest. Regardless of their appearance show some level of kindness as you do not know what the future holds. Put a little love in your heart.

Just a little sing-along for you.
